Putting a Face to Cancer
Putting A Face to Cancer: One Patient's Journey
Lenn Robbins
Cancer, Chemo and Me
Shortly after learning of my cancer diagnosis, I made a decision: Only immediate family and friends would be told. I didn’t want cancer to become my identity. Did you hear, Lenn has cancer? So here I am telling my story to anyone who has access to the Internet.
No two cancers and no two patients are exactly the same. Everyone should follow their head, heart and gut. Keep it as private or make it as public as you like.
What you are about to read is one man’s journey from diagnosis to treatment to relapse, to another treatment, to relapse, to where I am now. If this project helps one person, and his or her family face their challenge, whatever loss of privacy will be worth it.
Regardless of your path, every feeling is valid. Don’t hesitate to share them with the ones you choose to tell. The overwhelming response I received was, “Thanks.” It made them feel like they were helping. And they were.

This is dedicated to everyone who was kind to me. Thank you.
